The best caption which encapsulates the photo
The art of the caption is not for the faint hearted. To write a good caption one must be skilled and schooled, practised and worked, until all that is left is the deftness of words needed to bring a picture alive. It does not come simply.
Captions help to tell the story all the more, inject fun into an otherwise dull picture or give us all a jolly good laugh. If you’ve ever entered a caption contest then you know the joy they can bring.
And that is why this award is such a prize ticket, because it’s flipping tricky to write a good one but so pleasing to see the end results. It seems SO tricky, that very few actually include a caption on their photos so the pool to choose from was very small.
Therefore, without further ado, the best caption (taken from our followers) goes to…
Pollock of Light for their sheer commitment to the captioning cause:
The caption may not tell you anything new about the photo and, in fact, it directly matches the blog post title, however, every picture is faithfully captioned to ensure you don’t miss out.
I hope by this mid-point in the awards proceedings you are totally smitten by them and are sold out on the winning posts. I know I am.
